and made us wish we could start them all over again. he likes whiskey almost
as much as the rest of us and has a wholly individual love for beer chicken
and the occasional brisk horseback ride, especially in the fall. hah now

the
heroes are horses was started by mark bradley-shoup, jim tate, and kenny burnap
in 1998 as an experiment in folk music, combining simple song structure, traditional
instruments and effected radio static with elements of the avant-garde. early
recordings were made with charles allison but were never released, only slowly
built upon. after some time, kenny moved to oregon. the band then began recording
itself at corner room on 4-track and was joined by buddy t., oc. mark moved
to chapel hill and jim worked on the recordings, bringing in additional players
(bob stagner, gordy nichol, jim palmour, steven malone, brandon and wendy
